Artistry in Community

The Lotus flower seeds and blooms simultaneously in muddy waters. For us, this represents a symbiotic relationship between composers, musicians, and communities as we create art and generate growth, especially in challenging times.

Lotus Chamber Music Collective project curates uniquely welcoming, vibrant concerts featuring world-class artists. We provide resources for musicians and educators with a mission to highlight diversity in the world by featuring women, LGBTQIA+ community, and BIPOC composers and artists at the forefront of all programming.

LotusCMC catapults the brilliant voices of historically marginalized peoples to the forefront of the cultural landscape.

You can support our work here as a sustaining member or with a one time contribution.

Music Education

Founded by a music educator, LotusCMC supports music educators and music education in various ways. Working to fight racial and gender disparities in classical music, we provide resources to music teachers from our expertly trained artists, workshops, side-by-side performances with students, video tutorials for students and teachers to access, and free student tickets to our concerts. Understanding that every school and teacher has different needs, we work closely with local music educators so that we can provide materials and content that will be most useful for them. We also work with LiftMusic Fund to provide micro-grants to underrepresented students.

The life and essence of art—whether it be painting, music, or dance—lies in expressing through a wellspring of emotion the universal realm of the human spirit. It is a melding of the individual and the universal. That is why great art reaches out beyond ethnic and national barriers to move people all over the world.
