The Lotus flower seeds and blooms simultaneously in muddy waters. For us, this represents a symbiotic relationship between composers, musicians, and communities as we create art and generate growth, especially in challenging times.
Lotus Chamber Music Collective project curates uniquely welcoming, vibrant concerts featuring world-class artists. We provide resources for musicians and educators with a mission to highlight diversity in the world by featuring women, LGBTQIA+ community, and BIPOC composers and artists at the forefront of all programming.
LotusCMC catapults the brilliant voices of historically marginalized peoples to the forefront of the cultural landscape.

LotusCMC has received grants from Chamber Music America and completed a mini-residency at the Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum. Our work has also been featured at the Chamber Music America Conference in 2021 as well as in several magazines.
Sasha Ono, Founder
Sasha Ono is a cellist and concert curator based in New York City where she performs and records music in various genres. Recent performances include work with Miley Cyrus, Ellie Goulding, Michael Bublé, Josh Groban, Cyndi Lauper, Sarah Brightman, Kristin Chenoweth, Kate Nash, Jessica Betts, 8-Bit Big Band, Lawrence, Il Volo, Laufey, Mozart in the Jungle, and Streetlight Manifesto. Sasha has been featured as a soloist, chamber musician, and orchestral musician at venues including Carnegie Hall, Radio City Music Hall, National Sawdust, David Geffen Hall, Madison Sq. Garden, Brooklyn Mirage, as well as international performance venues. Sasha has also appeared on National TV on “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” and “The Tamron Hall Show” as well as on NPR Tiny Desk. International performances include a tour of Northern Japan to raise awareness and funds for areas still heavily impacted by the tsunami and earthquakes.
Sasha’s recording work as a cellist can be found on the Grammy Award winning song “Meta Knight’s Revenge” by the 8-Bit Big Band, “Yamanaka Bushi” by Jazz Messenger Shunzo Ohno, the album “Playdate” by Geoffrey Keezer, and is featured on records by Troy Laureta, VÉRITÉ, Ohsergio, Shurbh Saran, and more.
